Your day will begin with registration/check in at 10:00AM (due to Boy
Scout Camp dismissal, Dad & Lad participants will not be permitted in
camp until this time). NO EARLY CHECK-IN.
Upon check in you will receive a camp packet, which will include a
schedule, map and various other materials. An equipment shuttle will
be available to take your gear to the camp area. No vehicles will be
allowed beyond the parking lot without prior authorization from the
Camp Director.
You will proceed to the Central Shower Field Area where our equipment
shuttle will meet you and our staff will be on hand to assist you in
your site set up. Feel free to pick a spot for your tent. Tents will
not be permitted within 10 feet of the roadway.
What to bring to Camp…………………………………………………
• HEALTH FORMS FOR YOUTH AND ADULT –Please bring a COPY of the current
2015 BSA Annual Health and Medical Record parts A-B (attached). DON”T
MAIL TO COUNCIL, BRING TO THE EVENT. We do not transfer your form from
event to event. Don’t bring the original: all copies are destroyed
after the event. NO ONE WILL BE PERMITTED INTO CAMP WITHOUT A CURRENT
HEALTH FORM.
• Tent with ground cloth
• Sleeping gear
• Change of clothes
• Closed toe closed heel shoes – (no flip-flops, sandals or crocs)
• Toiletries – (NO ARESOLE BUG SPRAY)
• Bikes and helmets (required for ALL participants, yes dad, you too)
• Fishing gear
• Swimsuit and towel
• Flashlight
• Camera
• Money for Trading Post
• Chair
• And your sense of ADVENTURE !!!!!!
** Please note: swim checks will be needed for ALL aquatics
activities. Arrangements will be made with the aquatics staff at the
Beach Front the day of the event. If you attend Mom & Me be sure to
bring your Buddy Tag.
Please remember that the Black Swamp Area Council Camps are tobacco
free. Please refrain from tobacco use when visiting Camp Berry and
Camp Lakota.
