Thank you once again for your incredible dedication to Scouting. Your commitment, and that of volunteers like you, remains the cornerstone of our ability to shape today's youth into tomorrow's leaders through the invaluable experiences the Scouting program offers.
The past several years has presented both significant milestones and ongoing challenges for our council. Since our last conversation 18 months ago, we have had the successful completion of the beautiful Yammine Lodge at Camp Berry and Cooper Lodge with the Keith Hubbard Dining Hall at Camp Lakota.
This is an effort to keep leaders informed and collect their feedback (it is a gift after all) on how to keep Scouting strong in our council.
Looking ahead, we recognize the evolving landscape and the need to ensure the long-term sustainability of our mission, and we want to share the challenges and the opportunities we have at hand.
Our council remains deeply committed to investing in and maintaining our two exceptional camp properties, Lakota and Berry, which provide unique and impactful experiences for our Scouts. However, these vital resources require significant ongoing council support.
We deeply appreciate your past contributions and your understanding of the challenges and opportunities before us. We look forward to sharing more about our strategic priorities and how we can collectively ensure a vibrant future for Scouting in our community. I invite you to join me and a council board member for an informal conversation over coffee on, on one of the dates listed below to share the successes and challenges we face as the Black Swamp Area Council. Please RSVP to mandy.meadows@Scouting.org. Please note that if no RSVPs are received 2 days prior of a particular date, the coffee conversations for that date and location will not be held.
