What Is Jamboree?

Jamboree is more than just a destination – it’s the adventure of a lifetime. There is simply nothing else like it on the planet.

What’s a Jamboree? It’s not just camp. The National Jamboree offers 360 degrees of fun, friends, and fellowship, with hands-on adventures that take you beyond what you thought possible. It challenges you to try new things, push your limits, and grow into the best version of yourself.

This is the beginning of your hero’s journey—one that will inspire you to go farther, dig deeper, and aim higher.

The Vision of the Jamboree

In 1916, Sir Robert Baden-Powell, founder of the Scouting movement, knew what success looked like on the 10th anniversary of Scouting: It was the sight of thousands of youth gathered together to celebrate. In his words:

“The secret of [Scouting’s] growth lies in that indeterminate force which we only know as the ‘Scout Spirit,’ and grown it has!”
