UNIT RENEWALS DUE DECEMBER 1

The annual unit renewal deadline is set for Dec. 1, to allow for any unforeseen circumstances and/or missing training, etc. Having the unit renewals in by this date allows for 15 days of checking each of our 130 units. Staff limitations impact this effort, so adhering to the deadline helps facilitate on time submissions to national.

When the unit renewal is submitted and officially accepted and approved by national, this ensures youth and adults remain active members and sustains the unit’s tenure for another year uninterrupted.

Key Requirements

• Background checks for adult leaders
• Youth Protection Training (valid through May 31,2026)
• Unit leadership positions filled (Scoutmaster, Committee Chair, etc.)
